Layered monoprints created using acrylic paint, intaglio printmaking inks, flexible printing plates and tissue paper.
The prints are made using elements of the everyday with patterned or textured surfaces. These include vintage pressed glass vessels, domestic textiles and packaging materials.
Printed onto a variety of surfaces including dressmaking patterns, instruction sheets and everyday ephemera, the prints are cut to size and applied to painted canvas panels, then sealed with an acrylic satin varnish.
The work continues the theme of 'The Gendered Archive' by using domestic objects that have been passed down through the female family line. Working with Granny's crochet doilies and Mother's glass trifle dish continues the usage of everyday objects whilst conjuring memories of happy family events.
